A good place to try Korean food. Vegetarian options are also available. For students, it is of course cheaper to go to the CROUS cafeteria in the Maison International. At the Korean House, the atmosphere is more nice and the meals are more varied.

Absolutely amazing flavours, a bit pricey especially if you don't have the CIUP card. Definitely worth a visit though Edit: I have been back many times and I feel compelled to say that the young waiter with long hair is extremely nice and helpful *but* the older, smaller waiter with short black hair has been rude and impatient many times now...

Bright and welcoming space. Great Korean food. I just had Katsu, but those in my party who ordered spicy dishes said they were quite spicy. My sauce was less spicy and more tomato forward than what I'm accustomed to, but very good.

Nestled in the heart of Paris's 14th arrondissement within the vibrant Cité Universitaire, Comptoir Coréen - Cité offers an authentic taste of Korea that feels both inviting and genuine. This Korean restaurant, located at 9G Boulevard Jourdan, serves as a culinary haven for international students and local food enthusiasts alike, blending traditional Korean flavors with a welcoming atmosphere.

The menu here is a testament to Korea's rich gastronomy. Standout dishes such as the Dolsot Bibimbap showcase a harmonious mix of tender bulgogi, crisp vegetables, and perfectly cooked rice in a sizzling stone bowl, imparting a delightful nuttiness and texture. The Dak Gang Jeong, a crispy fried chicken glazed with a sticky, sweet-spicy sauce, offers a flavorful balance that keeps you coming back for more. Another noteworthy dish is the Jeyuk Bokkeum, a spicy stir-fried pork that carries a punch without overwhelming the palate.

Vegetarian diners will find thoughtful options like Dubu Kimchi, where stir-fried kimchi meets silky tofu, delivering a comforting umami richness. The Soondae Bokkeum and Kimchigae provide hearty, spice-infused warmth, perfect for cooler Parisian days.

Complementing these savory dishes are traditional Korean treats such as Bingsu—a shaved ice dessert—and Chapssaltteok rice cakes, dusted with matcha and sweet red bean, which offer a delicate end to any meal. The inclusion of Korean staples like mandu (dumplings), vermicelles de patate douce (sweet potato noodles), and seafood galettes further illustrate the menu’s diversity.

The ambiance at Comptoir Coréen is bright and welcoming, enhanced by a spacious dining area and a charming terrace overlooking the green lawns of Cité Universitaire. This serene setting makes it an ideal spot for a leisurely lunch or dinner, whether you're seeking a quiet place to work or a meal to share with friends.

Service here complements the experience, with attentive staff who aim to make each guest feel at home. While some diners have noted occasional inconsistencies, the overall hospitality aligns well with the quality of food served. The restaurant’s proximity to the adjacent deli shop means ingredients are fresh, though on occasion, some dishes reflect a slightly elevated price point.

In sum, Comptoir Coréen - Cité stands out as a must-visit for those eager to explore Korean cuisine in Paris. Its commitment to authentic flavors, combined with a relaxed atmosphere and thoughtful menu selections, makes it a rare gem within the Cité Universitaire area.
